I have been practicing as a psychotherapist in Colorado since 1998. I am committed to providing a relationship of safety, compassion and trust. Study after study has shown that the quality of the relationship between client and therapist is the only reliable and the most powerful predictor of a positive outcome. Therapy is brave work. I am so grateful for every human who has shown up for therapy, shared their story, their struggles and their courage with me.
My mental health experience includes working in urban & rural community mental health clinics and in private practice. I work with individual adults with a variety of mental health concerns; including depression, anxiety, grief, stress related concerns, life transitions, post-traumatic stress disorder, and substance use problems.
My therapeutic approach is person centered, culturally sensitive and strengths based. I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) which is an evidenced based treatment for a number of mental health conditions. If you would like more information about EMDR therapy please visit https://www.emdria.org/about-emdr-therapy/.
Presently, I am working full time for Westside Behavioral Care as a telehealth psychotherapist for people who are insured by Kaiser Permanente and Humana.
